LipKiss ingredients:
_Shea Butter (Butyrospermum Parkii Fruit)_ : A semi-solid oil extracted from the seeds of the Karite Tree in Africa. Shea Butter has been used for centuries for is skin protecting properties. It is high in fatty acids and vitamins A, D, and E, making it a fantastic skin emollient. It helps skin retain its elasticity, and offers protection from the damaging effects of sun exposure. It is a stable butter, resistant to rancidity. It also helps to repair and slow cellular degeneration. It’s thick, rich texture makes in an excellent ingredient in natural skin care and lip balm. _Castor Oil (Ricinus Communis)_: is the thick heavy oil expressed from the castor bean. If taken internally, it has the effect of a strong laxative! Externally, it provides a protective barrier between the skin and outside harsh environmental conditions like wind, cold and dry air. It acts as a humectant, drawing moisture from the air and the environment to your skin. This makes it an ideal ingredient in lip products. Castor oil is nature’s alternative to silicone ingredients. Note: Castor BEANS contain a toxic poison called ricin. There is absolutely no concern however, regarding “Castor Oil”. Since ricin is water soluble, it cannot be found in the oil. This toxin is removed with the “mash” or waste, during the production of the oil. (Organic)
_Jojoba Seed Oil (Simmondsia Chinesis)_: Not truly and oil, jojoba is actually a liquid wax extracted from the jojoba bean. Its chemical structure is very similar to our own skin’s sebum, making it very easily absorbed. Its skin compatibility and stability makes it a great ingredient in skin care and lip products. It leaves skin, soft, supple and smooth. (Organic)
_Meadowfoam Seed Oil: (Limnanthes Alba)_: An emollient oil extracted from the seeds of the Meadowfoam plant. Meadowfoam contains high levels of naturally occurring tocopherols (Vitamin E), and fatty acids. It is exceptionally stable and resistant to rancidity. Meadowfoam helps to heal dry, cracked lips, and adheres well to the skin.
_Candelilla Wax (Eupohorbia Certifera)_: Natural wax obtained from boiling the Candelilla plant. Candelilla gives lip gloss and lipstick formulations substance and sheen. It is also used as a thickener.
